
My name is Gadeer Kamal-Mreeh. I am originally from Israel and live in Washington, D.C. I bring unique Skills & excellent professional expertise from over 14 years of experience leading senior positions in the intersection of politics, communication, leadership, public policy, and public diplomacy.
I was the first non-Jewish anchorwoman to broadcast the main evening news in Hebrew and Arabic languages in Israel. In April 2019, I was elected to the Knesset as a member of the Blue and White party, making history as the first Druze woman to become a Member of the Knesset, where I was re-elected twice. In 2021, I was appointed by Mr. Isaac Herzog, then the chairman of the "Jewish Agency for Israel," now the President of the State of Israel, to serve as the first non-Jewish Senior Envoy of the Jewish Agency for Israel to Washington, D.C.
During my political tenures, I founded and chaired the Caucus for Planning, Zoning, and Industrial Areas and the Caucus for the Advancement of Druze Women. I was a member of the Interior and Environment Committee, the Advancement of Women's Status and Gender Equality Committee, and the special committee for fighting crime within the Arab sector. I co-chaired the Israel-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group and chaired the Israel-Switzerland Parliamentary Friendship Group.
I hold a degree with honors in Medical Imaging and Social Sciences from Bar-Ilan University and a master's degree with honors in International Relations from Haifa University, specializing in negotiation and decision-making in international relations.
In 2024, I founded GKM Global Consulting, a boutique Global Consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., providing global consulting, speaking engagements, and public diplomacy initiatives.
I am an alumna of the "Munich Young Leaders" Program. In 2020, the distinguished Israeli business daily, "Calcalist," ranked me 63rd among the 100 most influential Israeli figures of the year. In 2021, I was selected by the "World Economic Forum" as a "Young Global Leader". The same year, I was awarded the "Quality Government Knight" for the Legislative Branch by "The Movement for Quality Government in Israel."
